Sidebar Image
  1. Make an assessment of the soil configuration (slope, depression, elevation, etc.).

  2. Determine the properties of the soil depending on water retention and soil looseness.

  3. Based on the assessment of the configuration and properties of the soil, divide the plot into parts so that samples are obtained whose results of chemical analyzes will correspond to the actual condition of the soil.

  4. Sampling should be performed depending on the planned or existing culture.

  5. For sampling it is necessary to take an average (representative) sample

    • in the case of smaller agricultural areas, plots of 1 - 2 has one average sample

    • exceptionally in the case of large agricultural areas with uniform characteristics, plots of 3 - 5 (10) ha à one average sample

    • on uneven surfaces it is necessary to take several average (representative) samples

  6. The weight of the average (representative) sample is about 1 kg and consists of about 20 well-mixed individual samples taken from the agricultural area.

  7. The sampling scheme can be: diagonal, Z-scheme or similar

  8. The depth of sampling depends on the planned or existing culture.

    • vegetable crops: 0 - 30 cm

    • fruit crops: 0 - 30 cm and 30 - 60 cm

  9. Sampling should be done with a shovel, probe, drill
